With the Huawei being one of the most talked about and probably the best phone of 2018, we were not expecting the Chinese company to take its foot of the pedal just yet. The Mobile World Congress will be happening later this February. There is already so much to look forward to at the event. From Vivo’s phone with zero port to Xiaomi’s double foldable phone, tech enthusiasts are really excited. Now there is even more to be excited about with Huawei announcing that the new device with 5G capability will unveiled at the ‘Connecting the Future’, event of the MWC.
The CEO, Richard Yu had previously announced the phone arrival without dates.
“We look forward to seeing you in Barcelona in February, where we will launch the world’s first 5G smartphone with foldable screen.” He was quoted saying at an investor meeting in Beijing.
The mobile wing of Huawei made the announcement on twitter. The phone may come with the screen on the outside. This would be in contrast with Samsung’s foldable device option. They have yet to announce what the flagship device will be called but they had previously obtained trademarks for some suitable names.
The names include the Mate Flex, the Mate Flexi, the Mate Fold and the Mate F. 2019 is already being dubbed the year of 5G and foldable phones and Huawei has put both features in one the same device.
