The newest flagship product from Xiaomi was just launched at an event in Beijing, China. The Mi 9 is the direct successor to the Mi 8 which was comfortably one of the best phones of its set. The Xiaomi Mi 9 comes with a multi-functional NFC chip. It also comes with a dual-frequency GPS module. The design is more luxurious compared to its predecessor with an all curved finish. One of the more exciting new features is the dedicated AI button that let’s users switch on Google Assistant.
Xiaomi has launched a new charging system along with the new device, the 20W Mi Wireless Charger with a double cooling system. The charger is equipped with backward compatibility. This means it can charge other wireless-charging support systems. The new device is also fitted with an IR blaster, which helps users make use of the phone as a universal remote for their home appliances.
The company also announced that it would release a Special Transparent Edition of the phone. The device is setup with a triple rear camera that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 13-megapixel tertiary sensor.
