Samsung Galaxy Note 8: Everything you need to know

Samsung released the Galaxy Note 8’s official teaser and its focus was all about one thing: Size. The size being the focus of marketing of the smartphone has now confirmed that it is going to be one huge smartphone. The Note 8 will launch at an event on 23 August, a few weeks ahead of the new iPhone’s expected unveiling. Although Note 7 was recalled, reissued and finally discontinued after models started catching fire, Samsung has taken a big step up with the Note 8.

Samsung made a good impression with the “all-screen”. The screen is expected to have a very sharp 2,960 x 1,440 resolution, which should make it a great handset for watching TV shows and films on. However, most users worry about the fact that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 might be too large, making other mobiles look tiny.

The Note will be available in black, blue, grey and gold colour schemes, according to reports, and could cost as much as €1,000 in Europe, and ₦428,366.58 in Naira

Samsung is one of the best when it comes to smartphone cameras, and we’re hoping it delivers once again with the Note 8. It will feature a dual-camera setup, with two rear-facing 12-megapixel camera sensors. There will be an 8-megapixel camera, which should be more than good enough for capturing amazing selfies. Since the Note 7 catastrophe, plenty of jokes and assumptions have been made but Samsung is bent on rescuing its reputation and trying so hard to bury the past.

It made a big deal about its new eight-point battery safety process after admitting that problems with the Note 7’s batteries were to blame for models exploding, but people will still have concerns about the new version of the Note. The Note 8 comes with a 3,300mAh battery(hopefully safe) which enables users to charge either wirelessly or via a USB-C port.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is indeed really massive and huge, users should expect a much ‘bigger’ Samsung Galaxy Note .
