If you deal with cryptocurrency you’ll be glad to know about Sikur if you don’t already. The average smartphone does not really cater for it’s security and that’s where Sikur comes in.

The Brazilian company first launched the GranitePhone before it launched the SIKURPhone which is all about security. Right now it seems the company is only interested in software rather than hardware, hence, it’s collaboration with Sony.

The new SIKUR Phone is basically a Sony Xperia phone with the SikurOS built into it. The SikurOS comes with a cryptocurrency wallet and a number of security features. For example, it has the ability to remote wipe the device. The Sikur App Store will be launching later in the year, it will only host apps that have been thoroughly checked and vetted. It will also host a security-oriented chat app and a browser.
